Terms of Use

Version 2026-10-27

Who We Are

Forge is operated by Forge Loving Relationships LLC ("Forge", "we", "us"). These terms cover the Forge website at forgelovingrelationships.com (the "website") and the Forge app at app.forgelovingrelationships.com (the "app"). They do not cover any other Forge website or service. By using the website, or by creating an app account, you agree to them.

Who Can Use the App

You may use the app only if you are 18 or older, you live in the United States, and you can read English comfortably. We ask you to confirm these when you sign up. We don't check documents, so we rely on your answers being true. If they are not true, please don't use the app. Each account is for one person, and you may not share it or create an account for someone else. The website's sign-up and demo forms are also only for people 18 or older.

What Forge Is, and What It Is Not

Forge offers education and self-reflection exercises about relationships, on the website and in the app. It is not therapy, counseling, medical care or legal advice, and it does not diagnose anything. No one at Forge monitors what you enter in the app, so Forge cannot respond to an emergency. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. If you are in crisis, you can call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

The People You Add

In the app, you can add the people you have relationships with, using a name and a relationship type. Add only what you need. The people you add do not get an account, are not contacted, and cannot see anything you enter.

Your Account

You sign in to the app with a code we send to your email address, so anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. Keep your email account secure. We may disable an account that breaks these terms, harms other people, or puts Forge's security at risk.

Things You Must Not Do

Don't use Forge to break the law. Don't try to get into anyone else's account or data. Don't try to disrupt, overload or get around the limits of Forge. Don't create accounts, submit forms or send requests automatically, and don't copy Forge's content in bulk. Don't probe or test Forge's security without our written permission.

Your Content and Ours

What you write in the app is yours. You allow us to store and process it only to run Forge for you, as the privacy notice describes. We don't sell it or use it for advertising. Forge's lessons, exercises, articles, downloads, design and software belong to us or the people who license them to us. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial use: on the website at any time, and in the app while you have an account.

Leaving Forge

You can download your data or delete your app account at any time from the Account screen. Deleting your account ends your access straight away, and the deletion is completed within seven days. To stop website emails, use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter or app updates email, or write to privacy@forgelovingrelationships.com.

No Warranties

Forge is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about it, including that it will be accurate, available, secure, free of errors, or suitable for any purpose.

Limits on Our Liability

To the extent the law allows, Forge Loving Relationships LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost data, arising from your use of Forge. Our total liability to you for any claim about Forge is limited to fifty U.S. dollars. Some laws don't allow these limits, and where they don't, they apply only as far as the law allows.

Changes to These Terms

We may change these terms by publishing a new version. In the app, we record which version you accepted. If you don't agree with a later version, you can stop using the website and delete your app account.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
